LINUX REPAIR CAFE!

Our Linux volunteer team have had our first meet up and we'll be ready for you to bring your old laptops and PCs to us on Saturday 24th October, East Linton Community Hall, 10am-1pm

Do you have an old laptop or PC sitting unused at the back of a cupboard, not sure what to do with it? Let's give those old laptops a new lease of life and help reduce electronic waste in East Lothian!

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL! Please email Rosie, fixingforafuture@gmail.com to save your place.

You're also very welcome to come along and have a chat with our team, find out more about Linux.

A Linux Repair Café helps reduce the mountain of electronic waste. Volunteers replace the operating system of computers with outdated software so that the devices last longer. Instead of running on Windows, the computers then run on Linux. This free and open-source operating system works excellently on older hardware. Volunteers can also install Linux on Apple computers.

Our Linux Repair Café is good for people and the environment—and will show that your old computer is far from obsolete!
