Early visitors have left glowing reviews complimenting the tasteful decor - the spacious columns and tubes, the crevices under bark, the dry leaves and sticks, the decaying wood and hollow stems.
The builders, East Linton Tool Library, hope it will provide a homely base for millipedes, centipedes, worms, beetles, spiders, woodlice, ladybirds, hedgehogs and solitary bees.
Located in the grounds of East Linton Primary School, the hotel should give both resident beasties and local school children environmental education and entertainment for many years to come.
