Fixing for a Future was delighted to take part in this circular economy-promoting event last week, together with Elaine Brown, CEO of Edinburgh Remakery and Jane Owens, Coordinator of Circular Communities Scotland's Share and Repair Network.

The aim was to encourage MPs to sign up to the Repair & Reuse Declaration, which offers concrete policy solutions that could make it much easier and cheaper to fix everyday products. It calls on the UK government to make repair more affordable, expand the UK’s Right to Repair, introduce a repair index, bring in targets for reuse and repair and support a new generation of repairers.

It was a positive day. Let's hope many more MPs sign up to the Declaration in the very near future, including those representing Scottish constituencies!
