Congratulations to everyone at DGS who has taken part in our 10 week sewing course. We're amazed by your incredible eco-creations! In just 10 weeks this group has learned how to use the sewing machine, starting with small things like purses and tote bags, and then worked on an individual project, up-cycling denim to create unique and fabulous outfits!
The aim of our 'Against Fast Fashion!' work is to encourage the learning and sharing of sewing skills among young people in East Lothian; to show all the benefits of making and fixing your own clothes. It enables creativity of expression, it's good for the planet - reducing CO2 emissions and waste to landfill, it saves money, it's social and it's fun!
We'll be back at DGS after the Easter break!
